A skincare routine for breakouts and oily skin

A good routine for breakouts cleanses away oil without stripping, exfoliates gently at night and treats spots only where they are. Leica's breakouts routine uses Rejuvi 'f' Facial Wash, Rejuvi 'g' AHA Serum, Rejuvi 'p' Solution for Acne Skin and Rejuvi 'p' Normalizing Cream (for Open Acne), with a weekly Rejuvi Purifying Mask.
Who this routine is for
It is for skin that gets shiny by midday, with clogged pores, blackheads or regular breakouts, including adult breakouts.
If you are under a dermatologist's care for cystic acne, taking Accutane or pregnant, check with your doctor first and tell Leica on your intake form.
Morning
Keep mornings light, and use the spot treatment only on active breakouts, not all over.
- Cleanse with Rejuvi 'f' Facial Wash: mix a few drops with water, massage it onto the face and rinse well with a warm washcloth.
- Tone with Rejuvi 'r' Skin Refreshener: mist it on, or wipe it over the face on a pad for a deeper cleanse.
- Spot treat with Rejuvi 'p' Solution for Acne Skin: dot it only onto individual blemishes.
- Moisturize with Rejuvi 'y' Light Moisturizer, then finish with sunscreen. Keep the moisturizer in the fridge between uses.
Evening and once a week
At night, cleanse twice with the 'f' Facial Wash: remove the first cleanse with a washcloth, then rinse off the second with lukewarm water.
- Treat with Rejuvi 'g' AHA Serum every night or every other night. Massage a few drops over the face, avoiding the eyes. Some dryness or flaking at first is normal; if skin gets sensitive, stop until it recovers, then restart slowly.
- Calm breakouts with Rejuvi 'p' Normalizing Cream (for Open Acne) on problem areas. Stop for a while if significant redness or itching develops.
- Once a week, apply Rejuvi Purifying Mask, avoiding the eyes. Leave it on for three to five minutes and rinse it off well before it dries.
The right order to apply products
Go from thinnest to thickest: cleanser, toner, then serums and treatments, then moisturizer. In the morning, sunscreen always goes last.
AHAs can increase sun sensitivity, so daily sunscreen matters. If AHAs are new to you, start the serum two or three nights a week and build up.
What to expect and the facial that pairs with it
Skin usually feels cleaner and less oily within a few weeks. Breakouts take longer to settle, and consistency plus regular acne facials make the biggest difference.
The routine pairs with Simply Acne Treatment (50 Min), which starts at $150 and is tailored to your acne type and severity. The version with a peel is $230 and can help fade post-acne marks. Stop the AHA serum two to three days before your appointment.
